The Big Bore (BB and BB+) variants of the box-guideway-based Hi-TECH 550, Hi-TECH 700, and Hi-TECH 850 lathes feature an extra-large spindle bore, allowing clamping of diameters from 190 to 370 mm. Additionally, the Big Bore design includes a widened turret with two consecutive BMT tool holders, providing optimal support for long tools—commonly used for internal tube machining—and significantly reducing vibrations. The main spindle can also be equipped with two pneumatic chucks: one in the workspace and one at the rear, enabling stable support of long tubes while facilitating rear feeding and unloading.

Thanks to wide box guideways and high torque achieved through powerful drives and gearing, the Hi-TECH BB series leads the competition in stability, reliability, and performance.
