5-axis machining centre with Ø300 mm rotary table
The M1-5AX now complements the M series with a model with a 300 mm rotary table for small workpiece sizes. The design of the machine differs significantly from its larger siblings M2-5AX, M3-5AX and M4-5AX. Here we have chosen a gantry design with an integrated rotary table that moves under the gantry on the Y-axis. This gives the M1-5AX higher dynamics and rigidity.

The M1-5AX now complements the M series with a model with a 300 mm rotary table for small workpiece sizes. The design of the machine differs significantly from its larger siblings M2-5AX, M3-5AX and M4-5AX. Here we have chosen a gantry design with an integrated rotary table that moves under the gantry on the Y-axis. This gives the M1-5AX higher dynamics and rigidity.
The linear axes each have 2 running shoes and wide guideway distances. Despite the small table size of 300 mm, the machine bed, which is made of Mehanite cast iron, has a mass of 9.5 tons.
The HSC spindles, produced in-house, are available with 20,000 rpm or 32,000 rpm. The oil-air cooling and the actively controlled temperature, which is continuously measured at three points, reduce the expansion of the spindle in the Z-direction to a minimum. In addition, the speed-dependent centrifugal forces acting on the tool holder are calculated and also compensated to almost completely eliminate the dimensional deviation in the Z-direction.
The M1-5AX can optionally be loaded quickly and easily with a robot from the right side. For this purpose, we offer our AWC8 and AWC20, but also allow third-party suppliers to connect their automation solutions.
As with all our mold making machines, the M1-5AX is also available with Fanuc as well as Heidenhain controls.
