The twin drive on the Y axis, with a drive power of 2 x 4 kW, ensures high rapid traverse speeds (up to 50 m/min) and feed forces. The entire machine concept of the M2 is based on stability, precision and durability. The thermo-symmetrical and FEM-optimised construction of the machine and the actively cooled spindle, which we manufacture ourselves, guarantee a consistently high level of precision and sustained performance.
In order to achieve its unique degree of stability, the machining centre of the M2 is equipped with four linear guideways and six runners on the Y axis.
