For applications in tool, die and mould making, from precision components to heavy duty cutting, the M4 sets a new standard. Like no other machine in this segment, this machine stands out with its great weight, twin drives and extremely stable guideways. The M4 thus fulfils all the requirements of heavy duty cutting and is also suited to high cutting rates.

The twin drive on the Y axis, with a drive power of 2 x 7 kW, ensures high rapid traverse speeds (up to 36 m/min) and feed forces. At the same time, the A axis of the rotary table is fitted with two high-precision servomotors (2 x 7 kW) and a high precision rotary encoder (0.0001°). The entire machine concept of the M4 is based on stability, precision and durability. The thermo-symmetrical and FEM-optimised construction of the machine and the actively cooled feed drives and spindle, which we manufacture ourselves, guarantee a consistently high level of precision and sustained performance.

The substantial 28 tonnes of weight of the M4 underscores Hwacheon’s philosophy when it comes to the construction and production of high-quality machines for tool, mould, and die making. In order to achieve its unique stability, the machining centre of the M4 is equipped with box guideways on the Z axis, three linear guideways on the X axis, and 6 runners on two linear guideways on the Y axis. Hwacheon’s High-Torque Spindle (1,009 Nm torque) constitutes a unique combination within the market, outstanding in all respects, and providing you with a decisive competitive advantage.

In order to guarantee high quality standards, we design and manufacture the spindles, machine bed and rotary table ourselves.

The right spindle for every application

  • Standard: 12,000 rpm with 30 kW / 420 Nm
  • Optionally: 8,000 rpm with 55 kW / 1,009 Nm (High-Torque)

Machine series

The gantry-based construction and rotary table allow the M series to reach rapid traverse speeds of up to 50 m/min. Three types, with table sizes of D500, D700 and D800 are available. The M3 and M4...
