On November 4, 2025, Hwacheon Machinery Europe GmbH hosted a highly engaging workshop focused on ESPRIT EDGE CAM, in collaboration with partner Hexagon. The event took place at our facilities in Bochum, Germany, and provided participants with an exclusive hands-on experience of advanced CAM technologies.
The workshop offered valuable insights into the latest developments in computer-aided manufacturing, including the integration of artificial intelligence, machine learning, and Hexagon's Copilot features within the ESPRIT EDGE system. Attendees explored efficient NC program creation for modern turning and milling centers, as well as the practical implementation of digitized workshop solutions.
A centerpiece of the day was the live demonstration on the Hwacheon D2-5AX, a compact yet powerful 5-axis machining center optimized for high-precision applications and mass production. This machine, known for its rigid structure, high-performance in-house spindle, and advanced thermal compensation features, showcased exceptional performance during the machining of a complex workpiece. The NC program was developed using ESPRIT EDGE CAM software, highlighting its capabilities in generating optimized toolpaths for multi-axis operations.
The demonstration resulted in the production of a captivating video capturing the entire machining process, which is now available on our channels.
The event fostered meaningful discussions among participants, including prospective customers who were particularly impressed by the real-time performance of our machines. These interactions underscored the practical benefits of combining Hwacheon hardware with cutting-edge CAM solutions.
