Milling machines with gear spindles can generate enormous advances in productivity when used to machine hard-to-cut materials and high-volume components for which high cutting rates are required and/or where large-diameter tools are used.
HWACHEON develops and produces its own drives for heavy duty cutting. Particular use of these is made in the VESTA B series and the horizontal machining centre (H series). The gears and spindle bearings are actively cooled with oil and maintained at a constant temperature.
Using the high-torque spindles with large measuring heads, taps, and drills, high cutting rates can be achieved.
