Hi-TECH 700BB / BB+ - Big Bore Lathe
Horizontal lathe with BigBore spindle (180 - 295 mm) for tube machining
The BigBore model (BB und BB+) of the box guideway-based Hi-TECH 550, Hi-TECH 700 and Hi-TECH 850 lathes is distinguished by its extra-large spindle bore (Big Bore), which permits diameters of 190 - 370 mm to be clamped in the spindle. In addition, the BigBore model has a widened turret which has two BMT tool holders, one behind the other. This means that long tools, which are often used for working inside pipes, can be optimally stabilised, significantly reducing vibration. The main spindle can also be equipped with two pneumatic chucks - one in the working space and the other at the rear of the spindle. This allows pipes to be optimally supported in the spindle whilst also being fed in and unloaded from behind.
